Adblock Plus and AfA

Postby Pete » Tue Oct 06, 2009 1:25 pm

If you are having difficulties logging on to AfA, or selecting banners, please check if you are running Adblock Plus. When AfA is installed in the default directory, '/affiliates', the following rule from Adblock's EasyList matches:

/affiliate*.php?

Unfortunately that includes the demo on this site. You will have to disable Adblock (perhaps just for this site) before you can log in.

The other rule that can cause problems is:

/affiliates/banner

If you manage to log on, this rule can interfere with the banner selection page, causing other problems.

What is funny is that once you turn off Adblock for affiliatesforall.org, you will start seeing my advertising! Every cloud has a silver lining, as they say.

never mind.

I decided to remove the script.

I didn't like to see some code when typing my link with the index .html or even the /aff/...

Thanks anyways.
